An APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-charter fund paid to the yacht. This budget covers variable expenses such as food & beverages, fuel, and marina fees. At the end of your charter, we provide you with a detailed breakdown of all expenditures, and any remaining balance is refunded to you. If you're unsure about what's included, feel free to contact our team.
Your Captain will inform you in advance when you're approaching the budget limit, and you'll discuss the next steps together. Typically, a bank transfer to top up the funds ensures everything continues smoothly.
In the Mediterranean, the standard practice is to tip 10-15% of your charter fee. This amount is shared equally among the crew. Bringing a thank-you card or a blank envelope is always a thoughtful gesture.
We'll share your Captain's contact details a few weeks before your charter. If you'd like, we can set up a group chat between your party and the Captain to discuss plans and preferences before you embark.

Spectacular crew, unforgettable week
The entire crew was incredibly professional and engaging. I prefer not to single out individuals in a team, but Marino (steward) was outstanding — attentive, proactive and personable; our family felt like we'd known him for years. Amina (stewardess) was equally exceptional and they worked seamlessly together. Captain Spiro was the best and most engaged captain we've experienced — he guided us through every aspect of the trip, shared island knowledge, made excellent recommendations and put us in very trusted hands. Goran, the chef, was a magician: creative dishes that rival top restaurants. We left the menu to him and every day was a culinary adventure. He was a last-minute replacement but exceeded all expectations; we sincerely hope he returns next year. The yacht itself is magnificent: excellent indoor and outdoor spaces, comfortable cabins, great toys and a beautiful hot tub. Thoughtful interiors and personal touches made the experience even better. Many thanks to Spiro and the whole team for a truly memorable week — we cannot wait to return.
