Gulet Charter

Discover the most beautiful bays of the Mediterranean aboard wooden gulets crafted through centuries of Turkish shipyard heritage. Expansive Teak decks, an experienced Crew, and an authentic atmosphere.

Why Choose Gulet Charter?

Gulet is a traditional wooden Sailing Yacht that has been built along the Turkish coast for centuries. Originally designed for sponge diving and cargo transport, these elegant vessels have today been transformed into luxury charter yachts with comfortable Cabin layouts, modern equipment, and professional Crew. The Blue Voyage tradition, initiated in the 1940s by the Fisherman of Halicarnassus, continues to be experienced aboard gulets to this day.

The most distinctive feature that sets gulets apart from other yacht types is their expansive Teak deck area. Dining set against sea views on the Aft Deck, evenings spent stargazing on Foredeck cushions, and generous space for sunbathing and socializing... The amount of open space per guest on gulets exceeds that of all other yacht types.

Gulet charter is especially ideal for large families and groups of friends. With capacities ranging from 8 to 24 guests, gulets offer a holiday format where everyone is comfortably hosted and shared spaces bring people together. A slow pace, long stops in each bay, life right by the sea... Moving forward without haste, fully absorbing the scenery, is the essence of the gulet philosophy.

Thanks to their shallow draft, gulets can easily access secluded bays that other yachts cannot reach. Spending the night at anchorages that feel entirely your own, far from the crowds, is truly possible. This flexibility is a major advantage for those seeking to explore the hidden corners of the Mediterranean.

Frequently Asked Questions

A gulet is a traditional wooden Sailing Yacht that has been built along the Turkish coast for centuries. Usually featuring two or three masts and a wide deck area, these vessels are handcrafted by master shipbuilders. Today, they have been transformed into luxury charter yachts equipped with modern comfort features.

Gulets typically accommodate 8–16 guests in 4–8 Cabins. Some larger gulets can offer up to 12 Cabins, serving up to 24 guests. Each Cabin generally features an En-suite Bathroom and air conditioning.

A standard gulet Crew consists of a Captain, a Chef, and at least one steward or Stewardess. Larger gulets may also include deck Crew. The Captain is responsible for navigation and safety, the Chef for all meals, and the steward for Cabin service and guest assistance.

Gulets are especially ideal for Turkey (Bodrum, Fethiye, Göcek, Marmaris), Greece (Dodecanese islands, Saronic), and Croatia (Dalmatian coast). Thanks to their shallow draft, they can easily access secluded bays.

Gulets offer traditional wooden construction, expansive deck areas, and a relaxed pace. Motor Yachts provide speed, modern interiors, and advanced technology. Gulets are ideal for the spirit of the Blue Voyage, while Motor Yachts suit those who wish to see many places in a shorter time.

The gulet, professional Crew, and basic equipment are included. Fuel, food and beverages, and marina fees are usually calculated separately. Some packages may include Full Board catering. We clarify all details transparently in advance.

For peak season (July–August), 4–6 months in advance is ideal. For June and September, 2–3 months may be sufficient. Popular gulets and specific dates fill up quickly, and early booking offers advantages.

Absolutely! Gulets are perfect for families. Spacious decks provide safe play areas for children, and calm bays offer ideal swimming conditions. Our Crew is experienced in hosting families, and shared spaces strengthen family togetherness.

Many gulets offer basic water sports equipment such as snorkeling sets, paddle boards, and canoes. Some gulets also feature water skiing and wakeboarding. Motorized equipment like jet skis is generally standard on Motor Yachts and luxury yachts.

For a classic Blue Voyage experience, 7 days is an ideal starting point. This duration allows you to comfortably explore a region and enjoy the gulet lifestyle. For more extensive routes, we recommend 10–14 days. Suitable routes are also available for shorter durations (3–4 days).
