He became a captain in 2005, has worked across Greece and the Mediterranean, and has served as a charter yacht captain since 2017; in his free time he enjoys fishing, yoga and shooting. ### John (Ioannis) Sarris — Deckhand John (Ioannis) Sarris is a Greek deckhand born in 1986 with prior experience on a 20m yacht and is described as responsible and self-motivated. In his free time he plays football and basketball. ### Konstantinos Kalyvas — Chef Konstantinos Kalyvas is the yacht chef with experience in various restaurants, focused on delivering high-quality dishes on board. Your Captain will inform you in advance when you're approaching the budget limit, and you'll discuss the next steps together. Typically, a bank transfer to top up the funds ensures everything continues smoothly. ### How Much Should I Tip the Crew? In the Mediterranean, the standard practice is to tip 10-15% of your charter fee. This amount is shared equally among the crew. Bringing a thank-you card or a blank envelope is always a thoughtful gesture. ### When Can We Speak to Our Crew? We'll share your Captain's contact details a few weeks before your charter.
