He began his yachting career in 1990 and, with over 30 years of experience, is an efficient leader and excellent communicator who ensures a safe and enjoyable cruise in the Eastern Mediterranean. ### Giannis Stratigos — Chef Giannis has over 16 years of experience as a chef, having worked at prominent 5-star hotels, resorts and in 2- and 3-Michelin-star restaurants. He has also served as a culinary lecturer and is a chef ambassador for the Greek olive oil company Iliada in Germany and Japan, bringing professionalism and a bright sense of humor to the MAGIX team. ### Katerina Vouniozou — Chief Stewardess Katerina holds international diplomas in Travel & Tourism and Microbiology and has worked as a stewardess in yachting for over eight years, including two years as chief stewardess. She is a professional, committed leader in the interior department who consistently delivers high standards of service onboard. ### Smaragda Prenta — Stewardess Smaragda began her yachting career in 2022 and quickly became dedicated to cruising the Eastern Mediterranean. She provides attentive, top-notch service with a vibrant personality and strong communication skills, ensuring a memorable experience for guests. ### Fotis Vlastos — Chief Engineer Fotis is a graduate of the National Merchant Marine Academy and holds an Engineer Class A' diploma, with 25 years of experience on various vessels and luxury motor yachts. He holds all necessary safety certificates and is committed to the smooth and uninterrupted operation of the yacht. ### Nikos Varvaresos — Bosun Nikos is a hardworking and resourceful seaman with full seaman's qualifications and a technical engineering background. He is responsible for the water toys and assists guests with patience, a willing attitude, and friendly service. ### Spyros Totomis — Deckhand Spyros is a seasoned seafarer with extensive experience in roles from deckhand to Bosun and most recently as a 400 GT Master, and he is a certified RYA instructor. Your Captain will inform you in advance when you're approaching the budget limit, and you'll discuss the next steps together. Typically, a bank transfer to top up the funds ensures everything continues smoothly. ### How Much Should I Tip the Crew? In the Mediterranean, the standard practice is to tip 10-15% of your charter fee. This amount is shared equally among the crew. Bringing a thank-you card or a blank envelope is always a thoughtful gesture. ### When Can We Speak to Our Crew? We'll share your Captain's contact details a few weeks before your charter.
