He began his career in 2015 as a Deckhand and progressed to Captain and Onboard Mechanic in 2021, holding a Certified Sailing Diploma and having represented Greece on the national sailing team. Fluent in Greek and English, he excels in navigation, crew coordination and vessel maintenance to ensure safe, professional operations. ### Elena Voutsina — Chef Elena is a dedicated yacht chef with extensive experience aboard luxury motor and sailing yachts across the Ionian Islands and Cyclades. She specialises in Greek, Italian and Mexican cuisines and pastry, and is adept in full galley management including provisioning, menu design and hygiene compliance; she holds First Aid, Lifesaving certifications and a Seaman's Book. Your Captain will inform you in advance when you're approaching the budget limit, and you'll discuss the next steps together. Typically, a bank transfer to top up the funds ensures everything continues smoothly. ### How Much Should I Tip the Crew? In the Mediterranean, the standard practice is to tip 10-15% of your charter fee. This amount is shared equally among the crew. Bringing a thank-you card or a blank envelope is always a thoughtful gesture. ### When Can We Speak to Our Crew? We'll share your Captain's contact details a few weeks before your charter.
