Each has a private bathroom equipped with a shower cubicle and a standard home-style toilet. ## Crew ### George Bastis — Captain George Bastis is a highly experienced Captain with more than a decade in private yachting and charter operations. He holds an MCA Master 200 GT Certificate of Competence and RYA Yachtmaster Offshore and has commanded sailing and motor yachts up to 80 feet. He combines strong seamanship with hands-on maintenance and project/yard management experience to ensure safe, efficient, guest-focused charters. ### Nikolaos Maniatakos — Chef Nikolaos Maniatakos is the onboard Chef with formal culinary training and an MSc in Applied Biomolecular Technology, which informs a precise, ingredient-focused approach. He specializes in Mediterranean, Italian and international cuisine, including vegan and dietary-specific menus, and is experienced in menu planning, provisioning and efficient galley management. Detail-oriented and guest-focused, he aims to deliver consistent, well-presented dining experiences aboard Christal Mio. ### Angelos Ninos — Deckhand Angelos Ninos (born 1994) is joining Christal Mio for his first season aboard after working as a deckhand since 2023. He holds a degree in Mechanotronics, is a licensed diver and holds both a Sailing Vessel Operator's License and a Speed Boat Operator's License, giving him a strong technical and practical skill set. Your Captain will inform you in advance when you're approaching the budget limit, and you'll discuss the next steps together. Typically, a bank transfer to top up the funds ensures everything continues smoothly. ### How Much Should I Tip the Crew? In the Mediterranean, the standard practice is to tip 10-15% of your charter fee. This amount is shared equally among the crew. Bringing a thank-you card or a blank envelope is always a thoughtful gesture. ### When Can We Speak to Our Crew? We'll share your Captain's contact details a few weeks before your charter.
